Behavior Care
Behaviour care that starts with understanding
Changes in behaviour are often a sign that something is wrong, physically or emotionally. We look at the whole picture, rule out medical causes and give you a practical plan to help your pet feel and behave better.

When to come in
- Anxiety when left alone, during travel or at the vet
- Fear of noises, visitors or other animals
- Aggression, growling or new reactive behaviour
- Toileting in the house or litter tray problems
- Excessive barking, scratching or destructive behaviour
What it covers
A behaviour consultation includes a full health check, because pain, itching and illness often cause behaviour changes. We then explore your pet’s history, routine and triggers, and agree a step-by-step plan that may include environmental changes, training approaches and, when appropriate, medication.
What to expect
Behaviour consultations are longer than routine visits, and we may ask you to complete a short questionnaire or share videos beforehand. Follow-up calls and visits help us adjust the plan as your pet improves.
Our approach
As a Fear Free Certified team, we believe calm, positive methods work best. We never recommend punishment-based techniques, and we keep plans realistic for busy households.
Frequently asked questions
My pet is terrified of the vet. Can you help?
Yes. Tell us when you book. We can arrange happy visits, a quieter appointment time and, when needed, pre-visit medication so future visits are less stressful.
Could the behaviour be medical?
Often, yes. Pain, thyroid disease, skin problems and urinary issues can all change behaviour, which is why every behaviour plan starts with a health check.
Do you work with trainers?
Where helpful, we can recommend trainers who use reward-based methods and coordinate with them on your pet’s plan.
